Pediatric Physical Therapy – NAPA Center Los Angeles

NAPA is a family business built on the love that parents have for their children. NAPA Center was founded by Lynette LaScala in 2008 after spending two decades traveling the world to find the best pediatric physical therapy programs for her son. Her travels inspired her to create a pediatric therapy clinic unlike any other, offering the best and most innovative therapies from around the world all under one roof. Over the past 15 years, NAPA has helped thousands of children break barriers and achieve their full potential through intensive and weekly pediatric therapy programs. Pediatric Physical Therapist, NAPA Los Angeles

As a child, Mia always knew that she would work in the medical field and with children. Originally, she wanted to be a pediatrician, but after spending a summer in college shadowing a pediatric physical therapist, she knew physical therapy was the job for her and changed her major with little second thought. As Mia also has a passion for seeing new places, she began working as a travel PT after graduating for about 2 years, living several different states during that time. However, in 2019, her love of working with kids caused her to settle in Los Angeles where she has lived out her childhood dreams and what she believes to be her life’s purpose. However, Mia does continue to enjoy visiting new places, both in the country and internationally when not busy improving the lives of little ones through PT.

Ale discovered her love for working with children during her time coaching gymnastics. She received her undergraduate degree at Long Beach State University before entering her Doctorate degree at University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University. During her last clinical rotation, she was placed at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she had the pleasure to work with amazing kiddos and families to help them overcome life changing events. It was here that she further solidified that she wanted to explore the pediatric setting after school. She is incredibility excited to become part of the NAPA team and ready to continue to learn in order to provide great care to kiddos. Ale is born and raised in Los Angeles, but did find a new found love for the Bay area during her schooling. During her free time, she enjoys tennis, swimming, surfing, and running. But additionally, loves being a couch potato and binge-watching shows along with trying new foods.

Kayla decided to pursue her physical therapy career after enjoying various volunteering experiences working with high schoolers for sports and academics as well as volunteering through Special Olympics. She found her love for working with kids because they continually find new ways to challenge her and she is always ready to problem-solve on how to best help her kids reach their goals. Kayla enjoys the ability to collaborate with others and provide the best team experience possible to make dreams happen. When Kayla is not working at NAPA, she can be found either reading a book, snuggling with her cats, or creating new meal inspirations with her boyfriend. Ask her about any Gordon Ramsey cooking show and she is likely going to talk about all of the meals they’ve created inspired from his multiple shows!

Innovative Tools

After spending two decades traveling around the world in search of the best pediatric therapy and treatments for her son Cody, Lynette made it her life’s mission to help him reach his full potential. Her journeys around the world inspired her to make the most innovative techniques and tools like SpiderCage, NeuroSuit, DMI and more available under one roof.

Intensive Physical Therapy

NAPA Center also offers intensive pediatric therapy programs which attract families from around the world. We use the Intensive Model of Therapy (IMOT) when treating children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders. This treatment model is increasingly used throughout the world as patients, therapists, and doctors recognize it’s many benefits and outstanding results. NAPA therapists create a customized program for each patient that varies in time, duration, intensity, and tools used. Children often advance to the next developmental skill or higher during the three-week program.
