Ali graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Sydney in 2008. It was there she discovered her interest in working with children, and what a huge need there was in the community for specialists in the field. Since graduating, Ali has gained extensive and highly specialised skills working with children who have diverse needs and disabilities. Ali has a passion to see her clients exceed not only everyone else’s expectations, but the child’s own expectations of themselves. In 2015, Ali’s skills, knowledge, work history, and commitment to children’s development set her apart and was selected to be the first Australian occupational therapist to be sent to NAPA in Los Angeles and learn about the specialised therapy provided at NAPA. Ali was one of three therapists who set up NAPA in Australia from the ground. Since then, Ali has developed the occupational therapy department, moved into the role as the occupational therapy manager, and in 2021, has taken on the role of clinical director of NAPA Sydney. She believes that NAPA offers something very special to children with neurological disabilities.

Ali has completed a number of courses focusing on sensory and movement/ developmental therapy techniques. Ali is a qualified DMI Intermediate B and CME (MEDEK) Level 2 trained therapist. Ali has also completed training in CIMT and bimanual therapy, Kinesiotaping Method, Wilbarger Brushing Protocol, Therapeutic Listening Program, Astronaut training, DIR®/FloortimeTM therapy approach, The Alert Program, NDT and many more.

Ali is an enthusiastic, fun, and active therapist who believes that it is important for all children to reach their full potential in all aspects of life. Ali has worked as a part of a multidisciplinary team previously, and believes that there is nothing else world-wide quite like the ‘NAPA family’.
