Ashley earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions and her B.S. in Kinesiology from Miami University.

Ashley joined the NAPA Chicago team in 2023 after working in a therapeutic school and an outpatient pediatric setting. Her experience working with neurodivergent children and young adults has led her to prioritize a relationship-based model and child-led approach to play in her treatment approach.

Ashley trained in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) and enjoys supporting training and mentoring other therapists in DMI. She loves bringing the function back into all of her gross-motor intervention, whether it be adapting a bed mobility setup or creating a new DMI box setup to challenge a client’s goal area.

Ashley loves that everyone at NAPA makes an effort to learn and grow, from the staff to the clients and their families. She values interdisciplinary care,  and she is always learning new strategies from her colleagues or brainstorming treatment ideas with the Chicago team to help support her client’s independence.

Outside of NAPA, Ashley enjoys exploring different neighborhoods in Chicago, traveling to visit friends, walking around the Logan Square Farmers market on Sundays, swimming in Lake Michigan in the summers, or drinking coffee at her favorite coffee shop in the winters
