One of the many things Ellie loves about Occupational Therapy is that every family, client, and therapist has a unique story about what brought them to OT. Ellie was drawn to the field as it had ties to pediatrics, healthcare, and an emphasis on helping others in a somewhat “non-traditional” way in comparison to a nurse, teacher, or psychologist. Ellie graduated with her BA in Psychology from Webster University Leiden (the Netherlands) and went on to get her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Creighton University (Omaha, NE) after spending a gap year as a paraprofessional in a DC area school only for kids with autism. Since graduating from OT school, Ellie has worked in private practice, inpatient adults, outpatient peds, inpatient peds, and early intervention. Ellie is especially passionate about neuro populations as well as accessibility and equity for those with disabilities. Still new to the area, when not at NAPA, Ellie can be found exploring the great outdoors and all New England has to offer.
