Emily discovered the field of Occupational Therapy when exploring health science professions that allowed her to continue her passion of working with children. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Emily began working with children at the age of 12 as a babysitter for the other children in her neighborhood. During this time, Emily developed a level of patience and dependability that are crucial when working with children of varying ages and capabilities. While she is very responsible, Emily enjoys working with kids because she gets to showcase her silly and goofy personality, making therapy sessions fun for all. Emily graduated from Quinnipiac University’s accelerated, entry-level dual-degree program receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science Studies and a Master’s degree of Occupational Therapy. When she is not helping children reach their highest potential, Emily can most likely be found traveling, reading, or re-watching her favorite TV shows. Originally from New Jersey, Emily enjoys exploring Boston on the weekends and is still in search for the city’s best bagel shop.
