Lauryn knew at the age of sixteen that she wanted to work in a career fostering independence for individuals with disabilities after nannying for a family whose triplets all had cerebral palsy. She developed a passion for adapting activities to be inclusive for all children, embracing their unique abilities. She feels that occupational therapy allows her to combine her special interests in helping others, collaborating with people from diverse
backgrounds, and creating opportunities to be a lifelong learner. Lauryn received her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Her special interest in pediatrics is neurological conditions and disorders. This makes working at NAPA Center the perfect fit. She enjoys collaborating with other professionals to help solve complex issues for her clients and their families, and to work
towards increasing their independence. When she is not at work, you can find her staying active outdoors, watching Chicago sports teams, or spending time with family and friends.
