Mary first discovered her passion for the field of speech-language pathology when her aunt was diagnosed with throat cancer and needed to relearn how to talk and how to eat/drink again. From there, her passion continued to grow when she saw how much this field connected with her passion to work with pediatrics. Mary’s favorite part of the job is getting to meet, collaborate and grow lifelong connections with all the families here at NAPA. Her areas of expertise include Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Gestalt Language Processing, Articulation and Phonological Processing, Pragmatic/Social Language skills, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Early Language Development, and Apraxia. When Mary isn’t at NAPA, you can find her hanging out with friends and family or hanging out with her two kitty cats, Mowgli and Nemo.
