Sara is a Physical Therapist from the Chicagoland! Since she was little, she knew she wanted to have a career that would challenge her and allow her to make a difference. Fortunately for her, she has an amazing role model, her mother, who is an occupational therapist. She attended undergrad at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Psychology Minor. She then attended graduate school at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
She has always been fascinated with the neurological and pediatric population and was fortunate to have had four clinical rotations in neurological/pediatric settings. Amongst all these rotations, she was able to strengthen her problem-solving skills, adaptability, creative mind, communication skills with patients and families…all while being a kid at heart! Sara is the oldest of three and comes from a very big extended family. Currently, she has been working as a fitness trainer and has had the opportunity to train individuals in private sessions as well as small and large group sessions. Outside of work, she loves staying active whether that includes working out, hiking, playing soccer/sports, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and pups!
