Therese is originally from the Midwest in the USA and this is where she earned her Master of Occupational Therapy and her Bachelor’s in psychology at St. Ambrose University. Therese always knew she wanted to work with children, and she discovered occupational therapy through working as a nanny for a child with sensory processing disorder. Therese’s curiosity and interest were sparked seeing the progress and changes for the child from his weekly OT sessions. Therese now has 10 years of experience working as an OT and she is still exciting by learning new skills and taking new courses to help children and families
make meaningful gains through therapy. Therese has a special interest in Dynamic Movement Intervention, visual-vestibular rehabilitation, and assistive technologies. Therese has been able to combine her love of traveling with OT and has done clinical studies in Ireland, Ecuador, and El Salvador as well as traveling with the NAPA team to the Boston, Melbourne, and Sydney clinics. Therese has now relocated to the UK and is loving being a part of the NAPA London team. When she’s not at work, Therese enjoys trying out new restaurants and cafes, baking, and traveling with her husband and daughter.
